S.610 - Protecting Medicare and American Farmers from Sequester Cuts Act, enacted on December 10, 2021, further extends the ending date of the sequestration suspension period from December 31, 2021 to March 31, 2022, and further defines changes to the mandatory payment reduction percentage through Fiscal Year 2030.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services' (CMS') Retiree Drug Subsidy (RDS) Center has an exciting announcement for the user community: In the evening of Friday, April 15th, 2022, we are launching a brand new RDS Secure Website redesign! In preparation for the new Secure Website launch, CMS’ RDS Center will continue to provide users with up-to-date information.

You are invited to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ (CMS’) Retiree Drug Subsidy (RDS) Event: The New RDS Secure Website Launch Webinar on Friday, January 14, 2022 from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM. This event is intended for all RDS participants with active Secure Website accounts. During the webinar, CMS’ RDS Center will discuss the major enhancements and modifications being introduced with the release of the new RDS Secure Website, currently scheduled to go live early in 2022. 

The Secure Website Modernization page is a library of information that offers support and reference materials to RDS Secure Website users for the new design of the RDS Secure Website.

Beginning on January 9th, 2022, CMS’ RDS Center will no longer support the Internet Explorer (IE) desktop application (browser). Google Chrome is now the default CMS browser.

On Wednesday, June 23, 2021, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services' (CMS') Retiree Drug Subsidy (RDS) Center hosted a Listening Session Webinar about the upcoming Secure Website Modernization initiative and how this project will impact the RDS Program. Demonstrations of the many of the new pages were presented to participants. Polling questions were asked to capture user feedback on the updated design and on the various educational support materials present in the Resource Library.
