To help Plan Sponsors manage their RDS applications and meet important program deadlines, CMS’ RDS Center has added a Needs Attention view to the RDS Secure Website Dashboard.
In the modernized Secure Website, the Dashboard already includes dedicated views for In Progress, Completed, and Archived applications based on application status. The Needs Attention view allows Plan Sponsors to easily filter active applications on the Dashboard based on priority. This new view displays by default for the Account Manager, Authorized Representative, and Designees when one or more of the Plan Sponsor’s RDS applications are within 30 days of a program deadline or require action by the Plan Sponsor.
In addition to identifying information such as Application ID, Plan Sponsor Name, Plan Sponsor ID, and Plan Year, the Needs Attention view provides an informative Attention message for each application. If an application is within 30 days of the Application Deadline, the message “Application Deadline is approaching” displays. If an application is within 30 days of the Reconciliation Deadline, the message “Reconciliation Deadline is approaching” displays. Selecting the hyperlinked Application ID opens the Application Overview page to access information and tools for completing the incomplete application submission or Reconciliation steps.
Messages related to other aspects of the RDS application lifecycle may be added to the Needs Attention view as future system enhancements.
CMS’ RDS Center is dedicated to helping Plan Sponsors get the most value from RDS. However, meeting program deadlines is a requirement for participation in the program. Failure to submit timely plan year applications or complete Reconciliation within 15 months after the application Plan Year End Date can result in delayed subsidy payments or loss of subsidy.
