On November 14, 2025, CMS’ Retiree Drug Subsidy (RDS) Center notified Plan Sponsors that we are modernizing our banking process.
What's Changing:
In the coming weeks, the RDS Center will:
- Transition to electronic payments for overpayment remittance
- No longer accept checks or money orders for overpayment remittance
- No longer maintain a physical mailing address for any correspondence, including:
- Overpayment remittance
- Bankruptcy notifications
- General communications
There will be no changes to the policy regarding offsetting an overpayment with a positive payment request on another application.
How to Contact Us:
After the transition, Plan Sponsors must use one of the following methods to communicate with the RDS Center:
Any correspondence mailed to a physical address will be returned to sender as undeliverable.
